Additional Notes

  1. Any prospective attendees who are unfamiliar with archery as a sport are urged to spectate at a Club Night prior to applying so that they can “get a feel” for what club archery is like. Please email records@staustellbayarchers.co.uk to arrange this.

  2. An assessment of the course attendees’ physical capability will be carried out on the first day of the course. If, in the coach’s opinion, any person is judged to be not physically capable of completing the course, then they will be asked to leave the course and their course fee will be returned in full.

  3. At the end of the course, an assessment will be carried out of each person’s progress and competence. If the required standards are met, then a certificate will be awarded which will qualify that person to shoot at any archery club in the UK affiliated to Archery GB, (the national governing body). Any person not reaching the required standard may be offered additional coaching on club nights if the coaches judge this to be appropriate for the individual. The cost for this is £5.00 per session. Then, when the required standard has been reached, a certificate will be awarded.

  4. We would request that, for all course attendees under 18 years old, a responsible adult stays at the venue for the duration of the course.

I wish to apply for a place on the next Archery Beginners Course. I have read the information above including the Additional Notes above and accept the conditions outlined therein.
(Note that the form will need to be completed for each participating beginner.)
